As part of their FDC Young Designer Awards, Fashion Designers’ and Craft makers’ Network would like to announce the insertion of electrifying collections showcase. The showcase will provide a launching pad for new and upcoming designers to exhibit their designs to a vibrant audience of consumers, fashionista’s and the press.
The Award show has extended an invitation to international fashion and accessory designers alongside their British fashion designers to London on the 1st of November 2014 to show their collections. This essentially means that the immense African talent that is on the continent and in the Diaspora can participate. African designers can no longer claim lack of opportunity or the fact that they are distant from their target audience as an excuse. The FDC Awards is a perfect solution to their problem. In addition to showing at the Award Show International designers will also be offered the opportunity to show their collection at their Angelman Syndrome awareness Fashion Show that is scheduled to take place in New York on the 25th of April 2015. For all the designers that can make it, they will get a free place in the event. It is simply not an offer any bright designer should pass up.
The founder of the award show, Joanna Marcella says “….We are keen to make it an international event where designers from all over the world can show a collection and bring their creations to a wider audience.” For those of you who cannot read between the lines this is a clear indication that the organisers and the audience are looking forward to what international talent has to offer.
