COLUMBIA ANNOUNCES TOP LINE-UP OF SPEAKERS AHEAD OF ANNUAL AFRICAN ECONOMIC FORUM

Columbia University’s Graduate Schools of Business, Law, and International and Public Affairs are pleased to announce details of the 13th annual African Economic Forum (AEF), the largest Africa-focused event to be held at the university.

PE_PanelThis year’s conference theme, A Continent Connecting: Solutions from within will frame the discussion and debate around the required strategies governments and businesses must implement to continue to drive the sustained economic growth of the African continent. The conference will try to explore how connecting technology, infrastructure, political and financial actions can lead to a change on the continent. With over 500 people in attendance from across the U.S., the event provides a voice to African and non-African executives, scholars, activists, policymakers and politicians with an interest in the region.

This year, AEF 2016 Keynote speakers represent the finest of Africa and include:

  • Tony Elumelu, economist, investor and philanthropist
  • Uzondinma Iweala, CEO and editor-in-chief at Ventures Africa
  • Tewodros Ashenafi, Chairman and CEO of Southwest Energy
  • Austin Okere, founder CWG Plc
