5 TIPS TO CHANGE THE GAME AS AN ENTREPRENEUR

Every business needs to grow and to do so, the founder must stick to the plans and make them work. This however can pose a problem in business when some plans are not working yet not changed. These problems grow and become big with time especially given to the resources that must have gone into birthing the plans and strategies in the first place. But this shouldn’t downplay the fact that change needs to be made when they need to and hurriedly done too. Any entrepreneur who is thinking of swiping things to the right a bit but afraid of how to go about it can follow these steps outlined below:

Dig deep into your setbacks for clues.

Things happen, but entrepreneurs need to know the root cause of their problems. Some solutions might come by just swiping this and getting new things, it could come by just doing old things in a different way. You might need to look at the effectiveness of your plans, strategies and general relationship with every stakeholder in the business. Your attitude to things and people as a founder should also be evaluated. Sometimes, cocky entrepreneurs shoot themselves in the leg through their bad habits.

Do old things in a new way and watch your result.

After careful evaluation has been done, old things can be done in a new way for a while instead of out rightly going ahead to change things completely. This will help introduce the shock of change into the business gradually. This helps the business and everyone in it to adjust adequately for progress.

Make a transition.

Having shaken things, a bit, you can then go ahead and boldly make a total switch to a new plan. This makes progress possible, easy and faster.

Communicate Changes

Carry everyone along with the change. Don’t assume that people will get it, they never will until you explain to them and help them get it. Put strategies in place to manage change effectively when you finally make them and also be frank in explaining your reasons for the changes you make to all stakeholders.

Delegating Tasks properly.

When systems or methods of operations are changed, some people will grab it earlier better and faster than others. Let people fit into the change or new process based on their competence and extent of understanding of the new ways of getting things done.

The best fit for any position or task should be based on competence and suitability and nothing else.
